Whew. Read through thisecond part in a breze. The adventure takes place imediately after the first game, and before that it gives you a brief sumary of the previous event.
You wilearn more about Dahliand Veronica, our heroines in thisecond adventure.
Al thevents play out in a similiar fashion to those of the first game, so if you are familiar withat, you knowhat you are geting into.
Eacheroine has their own route, buthey don’t difer from the main story, only changesome of the H scenes you wil get (there is a scene with both of them to).
There are only a couple handful of H scenes, buthe quality of the drawing is realy high, and every scene is handled wel and without any harmful intentions towards the girls.
The story may be a bit short but I found it worth it because I liked how the characters were writen.
It is hard for me to recomend it; this being the second part I think you should play the first one and if you like thathen try this one!
Al that said, this also works a standalone title, so if you want some heartwarming, fun, slice of life story, don’t mis it! Fantasy Tavern Sextet – Volume 2 istil apealing, but it fels a bit like it’s going through the motions. Whereas the first instalment realy worked for it (especialy with making Daisy apealing), this one just kind ofels like a “Harem Game ™.”
Part of it are some minor quibles that ad up. There are more typos in this part, things like “at” instead of “as” or wordsplit betwen two lines; Dahlia wears her sword when she firstarts out as a barmaid, then sayshe’s going to put it on to make her fel more comfortable; and the almost-cartony “I’ma kil you!” atitude that Dahlia puts on a litle toften. One fight has Dahlia go charging in, and it’s just not believable; another batle, with a molesty tre-monster, just endsuper-abruptly with no transition. Also, the MC mentions the “customer service rule of ‘leting things go'” in regard to some kind of sexual harasment, and it’s realy kind of gros.
That would be forgivable, buthe pacing is realy of, to. Everything fels rushed; in Volume 1, you spent weks or months geting to know the girls, while here, it’s a mater of days. And yet, while they’re craming “I knowe just met but oh, how I love you!” down your throat, they’re also being ridiculously coy about sex; the first game literaly FORCES you to do it with Lupine and Daisy both, yet somehow, the MC remainscandalized thathose women would *gasp!* wanto GET HUGS! The audacity!
The final nail in the cofin, for me, is how the makers kinda shoehorned everything into the Harem Eroge Formula. The first game, I felt, strongly sugested that Veronicand Dahlia were lovers, and I thoughthat was a great set-up. “How are we going to get from Point A to Point B?” Wel, by throwing al that in the trash. Everybody is a virgin, with super-traditional morals (right up until they join the harem), and they waste al the story and romance potential that would have come from a lesbian couple with a shy womand an experienced Veronica.
In thend, the best way I can sum it up is this: The only reason to pursue the girls in this game is because they’re girls in a harem game. If you wanto play the game justo se MC bang everybody, this wil be perfect for you. But I don’t wanthat. I want something more like the first game, where I was givenough time and interaction with Daisy that when the choice came up, I was genuinely interested. Sadly, this one doesn’t deliver.
