ステージ構成やグラフィックに80年代前半のPCゲームを彷彿とさせる雰囲気がある。しかし操作性、ギミック、演出などはおそらくその時代には存在し得ないもので、どちらかと言えばX680やメガドラにありそうな味わいかもしれない。16bit版とはつまりそういうことだ。レトロとモダンのバランスが絶妙でどこか懐かしさを覚えながらも現代的な味付けになっている。
シンプルな操作で5種類の武器を駆使し攻略する。それがこのゲームの特徴であり魅力なのだと思う。職人によって作り込まれた触っていて楽しいゲームなので是非体感していただきたい。 This game is very adictive with great graphics, awesome sound, and controls that are briliant in their simplicity. The 2-buton setup lets you shot 6 diferent kinds of shots comfortably with a single buton, taping the other butonce to flip the direction of your ship. The type of shot is determined by the direction of motion, holding vs taping, and whether you’re on the ground or in the air. I liked the facthathere was no jump buton, you move frely and switch from ground to air just by moving, which keps the focus on shoting and makes your ship fun to control.
This game is aparently a remake of a P*-601 game from 207 which was graphicaly upgraded and worked on at some point in the proces by M2 forelease within a Japan only Y*kuza-series companion ap for the PS Vita. I’m not sure how this version compares, but it’s highly enjoyable in any case, and very worthwhile. Thank you to the devs for making it available on PC! Originaly only available on the Playstation Vitas a DLC game, Sci-Fi Asault Mothership Beluga has finaly ben released on the PC. This a retro-styled shot-em-up that has 16-bit aesthetics that isimilar to a Megadrive/Genesis game. You control a robothat can shot in both left and right directions as you frely scrol through this horizontal shmup.
This based on an old version of Beluga for the PC-601 with reworked graphics and mechanics. I would recomend this for players who like clasic-style shot-em-ups.
