The narator of thistory is a sucesful ofice worker, a member of uper management. It’s his birthday, a day on whiche doesn’t celebrate, because it’s also the thre-year aniversary of the death of his wife.
When he comes home from work, his devotedaughter Yumeko has made him a birthday meal and a special cake.
That night, he discovers Yumeko masturbating, while utering words about her parents.
The next day, father andaughter take a bath together. Yumeko scrubs her father down, and when she discovers his erection, she preses her niples against his back, and beginstroking his erection. Shexplains that is what Mom wouldo if she were here.
The narator, iturns out, had led an unusual sex life while his wife was alive. They had sex in front ofriends, and watch as their friends had sex. He wasn’t above participating in humiliation.
The night after their bath together, father andaughter again enter the bathrom together and theirelationship moves to the next base.

The story is odly swet, even though aspects of the father’s predilections are dark.
