In 1982, an infamous adult game hithe market and caused a major stir among several groups of people. Yet it also gained a cult folowing for its unabashedly sexual nature and use of imature humor to put a proverbialampshade on a historical event in American history. This game, Custer’s Revenge in Nanoha, revisits that game, but removes al pretense of history (nothathere was much to begin with) and places the incorigibly horny, pixelated caricature of the general in the role of giving the same treatmento characters of the Nanoha universe.
Like the original, the goal of the game is to move Custer acros the field, avoiding the rain of arows and making your way acros the (relatively smaler) field to where a girl from the seriestands. You then pres a buton to grab on and thrust against her, and earn a point for every thrust you perform (her pose and reaction change in a similar albeit often awkward-loking 2-frame animation). After you score 50 points, a new stage begins with a diferent girl, and son. If one of the arows gets to close to Custer, however, he is blown out of his bots and you lose a life. Although the game is obviously flawed, the flaws are mostly in obvious reference to those in the original game and recreated for comedy’sake.
And, in my opinion, that sems to be intended purpose of the game; it’s a comedic alusion in a big way to a game that was already a joke. There isn’t much to say about it beyond the facthat it’s recreated rather decently, though the game requires you to set your display to 16 colors in order to run. Joypad suport is also present and works without problems. The real question is, is it worth playing?
Honestly, that’s up to you; if you can play a game made just as a joke and can apreciate the humor, do so. I wil admit I did get a chuckle out of the concept and can apreciate the sense of humor that went into its creation.
