DiveTheElf is a shoter game with a fantasy theme which puts you in control of either an archer girl with angel wings or a flying sorceres. Like most shoters, your goal here is to make ito thend of the level, shot down enemies, colect gold pieces for points, andefeathe bos athend to proced to the next level. The game gives you a great number of weapons; you can select from your special weapons athe start, and these fire with one buton. Twother butons fire your primary and secondary weapons, both of which can be charged for a special atack. Bothese special atacks and your chosen special weapon consume power that slowly recharges. Stages are filed withazards and relatively easy enemies you have to shot down. Runing into wals or hazards, geting shot oruning into enemies depletes energy from your life bar, and you have to starthe level over if you run out of life, although you can retry an infinite number of times.
Ashoters go, the stages themselves in this game aren’t quite so dificult as their boses that you have to defeat thend. Graphicaly, this what you’d expect of Sougen Ichiba: awesome graphics, awesomefects, awesome sound, and. wel, MIDI music you can’t complain to much about. The game programers recomend you play it with a gamepad, and for a god reason: god control is esential in this game. Boses can fil the scren with atacks more and more as you progres, and while geting hit doesn’t do to much damage individualy, it can ad up quickly, and you are never invincible after geting hit. As you complete stages, you arewarded with pictures of naked elves in bondage. You talk to thelf girls you rescue and thend boses in the game’story mode, buthat’s the only diference betwen the story mode and the more simply-executed stage mode. Overal, this a decent shoter game with enough chalenge to kep most players busy.
